HOW TO BOOK WITH PURE PUGLIA
Booking your dream holiday accommodation with Pure Puglia is easy and hassle free. Contact us by email or phone to check availability. Once the availability is confirmed we will send you a link to complete your personalised on-line booking form. Then simply send us your 20% deposit. Should you need any assistance at any stage, we are always available to help.
BOOKING FORM and DEPOSIT PAYMENTS
Within 3 calendar days of confirming your booking, you must pay the required 20% deposit and complete the personalised on-line booking form (the link for which will be sent to you via email). Please ensure your bank does not deduct any charges from the amount paid to Pure Puglia LTD. Late Bookings will require payment of 100% of holiday cost when booking. When compiling your booking form please read all the information including the booking terms and conditions. The booking form is a contract between Pure Puglia and yourselves. By accepting our terms and conditions you agree to abide by them. The booking is not considered confirmed until we receive your booking form & deposit and you have received a confirmation letter or email from Pure Puglia. Until such time we shall be under no obligation or liability to you whatsoever. If we are unable to accept your booking we will return your deposit with 14 calendar days.
CONFIRMATION FROM US
We will send confirmation and details of your accommodation upon receipt of your booking form and deposit, or full payment if it is a late booking. It is essential that you check the confirmation letter and inform us immediately of any errors or omissions. We will also issue you with a date on which the balance is due. Please keep the confirmation email and bring it with you to Italy as proof of your booking.
The balance of your rental is due 60 calendar days prior to your arrival in resort. Please ensure that it is paid on time. Late payment may incur an administrative charge and/or cancellation of your booking. Please ensure you give a reference name or number with all payments. On receipt of the final balance you will receive information of how to reach your accommodation and general information and advice for your holiday.
Late Bookings (bookings made less than 60 calendar days before departure date) must be paid IN FULL at the time of booking.
The lead member of your holiday party should remember that when he/she returns our booking form they are accepting our terms & conditions on behalf of all members of the party. Please ensure that all members of the party have read the descriptions of the accommodation and agree with the booking terms and conditions. The lead name on the booking form must be a member of the party renting accommodation. All correspondence will be address to him/her. Please ensure you supply an emergency contact name and number. Please include a mobile phone number should we need to get in contact with you whilst in Italy. Any changes or amendments made after receipt of the booking form may be liable to an administrative charge.
CANCELLATION BY YOU
We reserve the right to apply reasonable costs for services provided and therefore will retain a percentage of the prices quoted. This is due to time and materials expended as well as, but not limited to, any other consequential costs incurred such as turning down other potential work or engaging the services of other individuals, persons, firms and companies. Any cancellations by you must be conveyed in writing (including email) by the lead person who signed the booking form.
Depending on when the notification is received our cancellation charges are:
- Up to 60 calendar days before departure - Deposit only (20% of the total cost).
- Up to 40 calendar days before departure - 50% of total cost
- Up to 20 calendar days before departure - 75% of the total cost
- Less than 20 calendar days before departure - 100% of the total cost
The date of the cancellation will be taken to be the date that we receive notice from you in writing. If the reasons for your cancellation fall within the terms of your personal travel insurance policy then any cancellation charges can possibly be refunded to you by the insurance company. Please note that we strongly recommend that all members of the party have appropriate and personal insurance cover.
CANCELLATIONS OR CHANGES BY US
Very rarely it may be necessary for Pure Puglia to cancel a booking. In such an event we will offer the client another property of equivalent standard, description and location (subjected to availability) and reserve the right to transfer your booking to that property or give a full refund or all monies paid. If you choose a more expensive accommodation as an alternative you will be liable to pay the difference in cost. If it is less expensive we shall refund the difference to you. If no suitable or similar property is available we will refund the total amount paid to us for the rental. We will only give a refund if the booking is cancelled by us. If you cancel the booking you are liable to pay the charges as described in the Cancellation by You paragraph above. If we have to amend or cancel the booking we cannot accept liability of any costs or charges that arise from other services or travel arrangements. We regret that you will not receive any compensation if there is a change or cancellation to the accommodation/booking whether this is due to force majeure or other reasons. Occasionally we have to make changes to or correct errors on our website before and after bookings have been confirmed. Whilst we try to avoid changes or cancellations we must and hereby do reserve the right to do so.
As we are a booking agent for accommodation provided by the property owners only, the booking does not include travel, car or medical insurance of any kind. We strongly recommend that you have insurance for your holiday. Please ensure that you know what your travel insurance, credit card insurance or private medical insurance covers, as sometimes it does not cover some essential elements when abroad and these can be quite costly and usually payable locally. It is also recommended to take a valid European Health Card with you.
All rental prices are quoted in Sterling £ (unless otherwise stated) and are for accommodation only (with exception of B+B or half-board accommodation - stated, please refer to specific property). The rate is either per day or week and is stated for each individual property.
The most suitable occupancy for the property is stated for alongside each description. There may be the opportunity for extra beds or sofa beds to be added. Please ask for further details at time of booking. Only people stated on the booking form may occupy the accommodation.
ARRIVALS AND DEPARTURES
Most self-catering properties expect guests to arrive after 5pm and depart before 10am. This is to ensure that the property is cleaned and prepared in time for any new arrivals. Please inform us if you will be arriving early. If you are arriving late please inform us so that we can ensure that there will be someone there to meet you upon your arrival. An extra charge may be payable for late night arrivals.
Use of swimming pools is strictly at the clients' own risk and children should be supervised at all times. Swimming pools are not enclosed with fences and there are no lifeguards. Neither the owners nor Pure Puglia assume responsibility for use of the swimming pools. Swimming pools are generally open from May until September but may vary accordingly to weather and are provided at the owner's discretion. Pure Puglia cannot accept liability if such facilities are out of use.
FACILITIES AND AMENITIES
Prices include accommodation, linen & towels, water, electricity and gas (where applicable). Air conditioning and heating are not necessarily included. Not all houses have heating; or it may be in the form of open wood fires or gas stoves etc. Many properties have open fire places with no fireguards. Please take care when lighting them and be aware that you do so at your own risk. Cleaning and change of linen is included with some properties (this does not include washing up). Towels are always included with the rental, with the exception of beach towels where guests are advised to provide their own. Guests at self catering properties are expected to be responsible for disposal of their own rubbish. Properties may lack things that you are used to in your own home. For example kettles and toasters are not widely used or available throughout Italy. Clients with infants or small children who require a crib, cot or high chair should realise that they do not always conform to safety standards and are used at own risk. For many properties which are identified as being suitable for families with small children, our recommendations are based upon our own inspections of the property and its facilities and the willingness of the owner to accept children at their property. If you are unsure as to whether a particular facility or service is included please don't hesitate to contact us. Pure Puglia is not responsible for any facilities or amenities provided or any problems or occurrences from usage.
CLIENT CONDUCT AND DAMAGES
All properties must be left clean and tidy. Whilst occupying the property it is your responsibility to take utmost care of its contents and facilities and ensure that it is not abused or damaged in any way. You are responsible for the closing and locking the property when you go out or depart. Any clients who do not respect the property and behave in an unruly manor whilst occupying it may be subject to eviction and will have to find alternative accommodation at their own expense. The party leader is responsible for any damage caused to the property and its contents, by any member of the party, however accidental. Pure Puglia requires clients to pay a damage deposit along with the final balance. This deposit is normally £400 for properties sleeping up to 6 people and £500 for larger properties. The exact amount will be specified in your personalised on-line booking form; This deposit will be refunded to you within 7-10 working days after your departure, provided that no damages are discovered following a full inspection of the property. The deposit does not limit your liability to pay the full cost of any replacement or damaged to items or property. We ask guests to always inform the owner or the owner's representative of any breakages.
You will be given a contact name and number for Pure Puglia before you arrive. For self catering properties, you will also be given a contact name and number for the property owner or the property owner's representative. This number should be used only for help with any problems or emergencies. If you need anything it is up to you to contact them.
As many of the properties are set in a rural location, car hire is essential as your mode of transport. Taxis are not easily available but can sometimes be booked with advance notice.
In the event of a complaint you should first seek satisfaction locally by contacting the property owner or the owner's representative who will aim to resolve any issues. If you cannot resolve the problem locally yourselves, contact us immediately by telephone so we can help. We recommend that you give a written complaint whilst still at the property, as this will enable us to investigate and resolve matters whilst you are still in occupation of the property. We will do our utmost to help resolve any problems, within reason, whilst you are still on holiday. We will not be able to help once you have returned home. Failure to inform us whilst on holiday will mean that your complaint was not considered to be a serious enough problem to justify a complaint on your return.It is therefore your responsibility to speak to the property owner or the owner's representative first if a problem occurs. We appreciate any feedback and information that we can pass onto other guests.
CURRENCY AND CREDIT CARDS
The currency in Italy is Euros. Not everywhere in Puglia accepts credit and debit cards, so please be aware that some small establishments, shops and markets may only accept cash. There are various cash machines which accept most credit and debit cards located in the towns and cities. You are able to change money at any bank and some establishments do offer a foreign exchange service to guests.
We are happy to give advice and information on the suitability of accommodation for disabled travellers. Due to the location of some of the accommodation access may be limited.
Any special requests for hotel bookings such as views, balconies, location in property should be requested at time of booking and are not guaranteed. Some requests may incur an extra charge usually payable locally direct to hotels. If you have any specific requirements please do not hesitate to ask and we will request these when booking your accommodation.
B+B & HALF-BOARD
Bed and Breakfast is room accommodation with continental breakfast included. In some properties breakfast may be buffet style and occasionally breakfast is payable separately at the end of your stay. Half Board is room accommodation with breakfast and one meal, usually dinner but can sometimes be taken as lunch. This is included in the price, however extras such as drinks, cots and telephone calls are not and are payable at the end of the stay to the hotel.
1st & 6th January, Easter Sunday & Easter Monday, 25th April, 1st May, 2nd June, 15th August, 1st November, 8th, 24th, 25th & 26th December. You may find that some public services, shops and facilities are closed over these dates.
